A person who sees Quality and feels it as he works is a person who cares. Here several aspects of quality came together. We produced fairly complex metal products for the mainstream market with a usual set of requirements regarding quality and delivery time.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text\">However, the main objective was not production. It was providing structure, success experiences, the need for affirmation but also influencing and learning behavior. One would expect these objectives to be incompatible. Yet much more often, I noticed that harmony emerged and the objectives interlocked as a well-fitting mechanism.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text\">I found the phenomenon articulated in the work of philosopher Robert Pirsig. In his book <em>Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance<\/em>, Persig states that when four static qualities (material, form, harmony and background) come together in the right way, a dynamic quality emerges. The result is not a sum of set requirements but a multiplication of added value for all stakeholders.
